People know that California has out-of-this-world deserts, mountains, beaches, and foods. However, the Golden State is also rich in extraterrestrial and alien sightings. Regardless of whether the truth is out there, the majority of Americans reporting strange sightings is in California. In fact, the state leads the country with 16,000 listed sightings in two databases, namely the Mutual UFO Network, and the National UFO Reporting Center.
On March 16, 2017, a Californian resident reported seeing a cylindrical-shaped object that is moving fast crossing the horizon in eight seconds around 2:45 pm. The witness was sitting and observed a strange object moving at high speed from northeast to northwest. According to the witness, the object appears to be 1,000 to 1, 200 feet up. At first, he thought that such object was a drone, but it lacked propulsion, and it flew three times faster than a typical human-made aircraft. He admitted being acquainted with the aircraft since they lived nearby Air Force bases. The object could be seen clearly since it was underneath the cloud cover. He described it as one of those massive propane tanks which some people have in their yard flying through the air. Unlike a typical aircraft, there were no noise and emissions. When it is run through a cloud, the cloud did not move. He estimated the object at about 30 degrees high in the sky. Hence it would have been as wide as a fingernail if you put your hand up.
Despite the strange appearance and speed of the object, the pattern could not be ascertained. Therefore, the authorities came to a verdict that no human-made information or natural phenomenon is applicable on this encounter. Skeptics frequently dismiss UFO sightings due to the lack of credible evidence or testimony, but out of curiosity people took a look at the data to find answers to their questions.
