Chinese Monks Spot Shape-Shifting UFO

A mysterious flying object reportedly captured on a surveillance footage and Chinese monks spotted it in the grounds of their monastery. The video shows a shape-shifting bright object changing from an apple to a saucer, and it even resembles a sitting Buddha at one point.

Monks said they saw their temple in Anhui province with a UFO flying, triggering alarms on Friday night. The video shows the bright unidentified flying object comes down from the sky and floats above Baita Temple at 11 pm while changing shape in a continuous manner.

The strange object disappears briefly from the view many times and at one point seems to fly into the temple’s hall for around 10 seconds. It rotates increasingly before disappearing in heavy rain.

The appearance of the mysterious glowing object and its actions left monks at the temple baffled. According to Father Shi Xingkong, when he heard the alarm, he got up and turned it off prior going outside to know what causes it and did not see anything strange. It was only when he looked at the monitor he saw a UFO.

A staff member at the temple, Chen Songzheng, said that if the UFO did not enter the temple hall, it would not have triggered the infra-red alarms, and they would not have known it was there.

The video receives mixed comments with some say that a prankster may have operated a remote-controlled toy. Others have suggested it was a ball lighting, a sphere of electrical light during thunderstorms.

However, an expert, who was not named, said that the object appeared for too long to have been a ball lightning. The expert said ball lightning can be ruled out because it only lasts a very short period, and the UFO was visible for over seven minutes.

He said that it could have been a bug that flew close to the camera just like similar videos in the past. He explained that when bugs are very close to the screen, they’ll give off a glowing effect on the video. He added that the object most probably did not fly in the temple but just flew out of camera range.
